Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Washera Inc (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information in connection with Rebookly, our AI receptionist and booking platform for barbershops and salons.
It covers two groups of people:
- Shops — the barbershops, salons and their staff who use Rebookly to run their bookings.
- Shop customers — people who call, message or book an appointment with a shop that uses Rebookly. For this group, the shop decides what information is collected and why, and we handle that information on the shop’s behalf.
Mobile phone numbers collected for SMS are never sold, rented or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. See the dedicated section below and our Messaging & SMS Terms.
1. Information we collect
| Category | Examples | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Contact details | Name, mobile phone number, email address | Given by you when you book, call or message a shop; or entered by shop staff |
| Appointment information | Service booked, staff member, date and time, appointment history, cancellations and no-shows, notes the shop records about your visit | Created when you book or change an appointment |
| Message and call content | The content of SMS, WhatsApp and phone conversations with the shop’s Rebookly number, including call audio and its transcript, and delivery status | Your conversations with the shop through Rebookly |
| Consent records | Whether you agreed to receive messages, when and how you agreed, and any opt-out request | Recorded at the moment you opt in or opt out |
| Shop account data | Business name, address, staff names and working hours, services and prices, billing contact | Provided by the shop when it sets up Rebookly |
| Technical data | IP address, browser type, pages viewed, timestamps, error logs | Collected automatically when you use our website or booking pages |
We do not ask for and do not want government identification numbers, health information, or precise location data. Please do not send that information to us or to a shop through Rebookly. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics or tracking scripts on this website.
2. Why we use it
- To take and manage bookings — to answer your call or message, find an open slot, create the appointment and keep the shop’s calendar accurate.
- To send you appointment messages you asked for — confirmations, reminders, reschedule and cancellation notices, and replies to your questions.
- To let the shop serve you — so staff know who is coming in, for what, and when, and can follow up with you about your next visit.
- To operate, secure and improve the platform — troubleshooting, preventing abuse, spam and fraud, and improving the accuracy of the AI receptionist.
- To bill shops for their use of Rebookly.
- To meet legal obligations — including keeping records of messaging consent and opt-outs as required by telecommunications rules.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use the content of your conversations to send you advertising.
3. Who we share it with
We share personal information only in these situations:
- The shop you booked with. Your name, number, appointment details and your conversation are visible to that shop, because it needs them to serve you. The shop is responsible for how it uses that information under its own privacy practices.
- Service providers who work for us, only to the extent needed to run the service and only under contracts that require them to protect the information and not use it for their own purposes. These are, generically: telecommunications and messaging providers that deliver calls and messages; cloud hosting and infrastructure providers; speech and language processing providers used by the AI receptionist; payment processors that handle shop subscription billing; and email and customer support tooling.
- Legal and safety — where we are required to by law, subpoena or court order, or where it is necessary to investigate fraud or abuse or protect someone’s safety.
- Business transfer — if Washera Inc is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
We do not share personal information with data brokers, advertising networks or affiliates for marketing purposes.
4. Mobile information and SMS — no sale, no marketing sharing
Mobile opt-in information and consent are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Your mobile phone number and your consent to receive messages are used for one thing: sending you the appointment and customer service messages described in our Messaging & SMS Terms, on behalf of the shop you booked with. Your number is disclosed to our telecommunications provider solely so the message can be delivered, and that provider is contractually barred from using it for its own marketing. It is not sold, rented, traded or licensed to anyone. Opt-out requests are recorded and honoured immediately.
5. How long we keep it
- Appointment records and message history: kept while the shop remains a Rebookly customer, and for up to 24 months after the shop’s account closes, unless deleted earlier on request.
- Call audio: kept for a short operational period for quality and troubleshooting, then deleted; transcripts follow the appointment record retention above.
- Consent and opt-out records: kept for at least as long as required by applicable messaging regulations, and normally longer, because we need to prove that we honoured your opt-out. Opt-out records are retained even if you ask us to delete other data, and that record is used only to keep you unsubscribed.
- Billing records: kept as required by tax and accounting law.
- Technical logs: kept for a limited period for security and diagnostics.
6. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls that limit who on our team can see personal information, and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to notify affected people and regulators if a breach requires it.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your information.
- Opt out of text messages at any time — reply STOP to any message.
- Ask us not to sell or share your personal information. We do not sell it, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of.
- Be free from discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
To make a request, including a request to delete your data, email ceo@washeraapp.com from the email address you gave the shop, or include the mobile number the shop has for you, and tell us what you want us to do. We will verify that the request is really from you before we act on it, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. There is no charge for a reasonable request.
Because much of this information belongs to the shop you booked with, we may forward your request to that shop, or ask you to contact it directly, and we will tell you if we do.
8. Where information is processed
Washera Inc is based in the United States and information is processed in the United States and by service providers that may operate elsewhere. Where information moves across borders we rely on appropriate contractual safeguards with those providers.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new “last updated” date. If the change is significant we will take reasonable steps to tell affected shops so they can inform their customers.
